The chanichim will be able to define what Chaluziut is.   They will compare the original definition given in Tanach to how modern Zionisim defines “the Chalutz.”  Different characteristics of “the Chalutz” should be discussed.  Does being a Chalutz describe one aspect of life, or is it a philosophy of life?  To what extent are we Chaluzim?  The chanichim will also be able to give examples of individual Chaluzim who have impacted Israel.

a jewish theme to the sounds of muzic. Mottie is a yeshiva bochur who is too tzioni for his yeshiva. The rosh yeshiva sends him out to teach yehadut and hebrew to a family, so that Mottie can try and find himself. Mottie goes to the family who’s father passed away a fews years ago and since then the family hasn’t been very obserevant ( or tzioni). The mother runs a very strict and the kids don’t really have a life. Mottie brings music, happiness, yehadut and tzionut back into the house, and brings the mother closer to her children. Mottie doesn’t realize that he falls in love with the oldest daughter, who thinks she’s in love with the mailman. She realizes that the mailman is a chauvanistic pig and doesn’t respect her. He is also a firm believer that everything will be ok and that there is no need to leave Austria. Aliza realizes that the mailman is not for her and seeks comfort from Moshe, not realizing that they are falling in love with each other.

Galut

The chanichim should get a feel of what life in galut felt like for the Jewish People from the time of Churban Beit Hamikdash until Hakamat Hamedinah.

Shabbat Exile & Redemption

Goals:

1. The chanichim will understand that redemption is a product of the combined effort of both God and ourselves.
2. The chanichim will understand that גלות isn't necessarily a dark, sad bad place, rather a situation when one is distanced from his origin, his real self, his natural state. For example, Am Yisrael's natural and ideal state is living as a nation in Eretz Yisrael. Am Yisrael's essential way of life is by the Torah. Not being connected to those two puts Am Yisrael in a state of גלות. 
3. The chanichim will understand that Am Yisrael is one unit, an organic being, and inseparable.

A tradition of Aliya

This is the term used to describe a Jew's immigration to Israel. Literally it means 'uplifting'. Jews move upwards to Israel. The tradition of Aliya goes back for thousands of years. Ever since they were exiled, Jews have always yearned to return to their homeland. The Bible talks about God's promise to bring the Jewish people home:

"For I will take you from among the nations, and gather you out of all countries and will bring you into your own land... Then you will live in the land which I gave to your fathers, and you will be my people, and I will be your God." (Yechezkel 36:24,28)

מרוץ מנהטן

סה"כ היו 12 תחנות באי מנהטן.

הקבוצות התארגנו 5 אנשים כל קבוצה והיו צריכות להירשם מראש, לבחור שם לקבוצה, ראש קבוצה ולשלם כל אחד 20$ דמי רישום (כסף שהלך לתרומה לשיקום יערות קק"ל בצפון שנפגעו מהמלחמה).

נפגשנו בנקודה הראשונה – בית קק"ל בעיר ליריית הפתיחה. היה טקס קצר שלאחריו נתנו את המעטפה עם הרמז הראשון לכל ראשי הקבוצות. (16 קבוצות, סה"כ 80 משתתפים).

היו לנו מס' מסלולים, ככה שלא כל הקבוצות ירוצו אחד אחרי השני, אבל בסופו של דבר כל הקבוצות היו צריכות לעבור את כל הנקודות ומדדנו שסה"כ המרחק של כל מסלול יהיה זהה.

המשתתפים קיבלו מאיתנו כרטיס יומי לרכבת התחתית ולאוטובוסים + מפה של האי מנהטן. אסור היה להביא רכבים פרטיים אבל מותר לקחת מוניות (רוב המוניות יכולות להכיל 4 אנשים ומאחר והקבוצות היו של 5 משתתפים, קשה היה להם למצוא מוניות מתאימות – עשינו זאת בכוונה).

איש צוות שלנו חיכה בכל אחת מ-12 הנקודות בו היה צריך לתת לקבוצה המגיעה הסבר חינוכי על המקום והקשר הציוני שלו, משימה, ואחרי שעברו אותה – את הרמז לנקודה הבאה. הרמזים היו רמזים ציוניים + רמזים גיאוגרפיים. הקבוצות יכלו להתקשר לחבר טלפוני, לגלוש באינטרנט, לשאול אנשים ברחוב – לא היו מגבלות בעניין.

כל איש צוות היה צריך לדווח למטה המרכזי אילו קבוצות כבר עברו אצלו, ככה שלמטה תהיה תמונה כוללת של המצב. 2 רכבים של הצוות הסתובבו בין התחנות השונות לפתור בעיות + לשאול את הקבוצות שנפגשו עימם, שאלות בונוס בו יכלו חברי הקבוצה לזכות בדיסקים ישראליים עכשוויים.

כל קבוצה קיבלה עם צאתה דרכון עם 12 מקומות לחתימה. בכל נקודה היו צריכים להחתים את איש הצוות בחתימה ובחותמת, על כי עברו בהצלחה את התחנה. לכל קבוצה היה את מס' הטלפון של "הקו החם" של המטה, אם יהיו בעיות.
