The chanichim should leave the sicha understanding

(1) The power of Yom Ha’atzmaut – how all these different Jews came together to fight as an Am and why it was it was so important for the Jews in 1948 to have an independent Jewish State.

(2) The battle for Yom Ha’atzmaut applies to us today and we can only truly appreciate geulah by looking at Yom Ha’atzmaut as part of a cycle of Yom Hashoah and Yom HaZicaron.

Goal: The chanichim should understand the concept of mesorah, and why there needed to be both the Mapah and the Shulchan Aruch, namely becaue different communities, or Ashkenazim and Sefardim, need to have halacha books that are geared towards their different customs and communities.

Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai (who lived in the 2nd century CE in the

Holy Land) was possibly the holiest man that ever lived. Besides authoring the 'Zohar', being a master of the oral Torah and a miracle worker, he was one of the few Jews in history who spent every instant of his time learning Torah; no casual conversations, coffee breaks and certainly no vacations--only Torah.
