Step by Step:

Opening

We made Aliyah and now we are in Israel. We decided, as we are one garin Aliyah, to build our own Yishuv, so we can all live together and support each other on our aliyah.

We received land from the Israeli government for our Yishuv. The land is 30 minutes drive from the big city. The government also promised to build a highway to the entrance of the Yishuv.

In Israel we can decide what we want our Yishuv to look like. We can plan everything – from the width of the streets to the number and type of families we want to accept.

Planning According to the Budget

We have a limited budget for our Yishuv. The budget comes from the government and from personal funds and some donations we managed to collect.

Each one of us has a family with 3 children, and a budget of 100,000 shekels, towards building.

Every public building costs 50,000 shekels. (unless defined by suggested price list or by the Madrichim)

Each room / garden in a residential house costs 5,000 shekels.

Now we have to decide how we would like our yishuv to look like.

We should also choose a name for our yishuv.

We should make a list of everything we want to have in the yishuv, and make sure we keep to our limited budget. Then we have to start planning the actual yishuv the types and number of buildings, the locations etc.

Actual Building

Each bunk receives a wood board, carton boxes, paint etc., and they should build their planned yishuv.
