Faire comprendre aux hanihim , l'importance d'eretz Israel pour nous , pourquoi il est important d'y vivre aussi et de se battre pour elle , car c'est notre Terre , notre héritage.

To teach the chanachim all about Asara Btevet.

Goal:  To get the chanichim to think about:

            1-the challenges of Aliyah throughout history in different generations, from the time of Olei Bavel until today, and what lesson can be taken for our lives. 

            2-the specific hardships encountered by the immigrants detained in Atlit and why their situation was particularly difficult and historically important.

Goal:

To discuss the involvement of the chanich in Bnei Akiva today and in the future

What is more important in a Jewish country? Torah institutions or secular insitutions?

To have the Chanichim pretend that they are King David and have the oppurtunity to build up our Jewish homeland.

Objective:  To expose the chanichim to the different religious, political and social aspects of Israeli society. 

In addition, to give the chanichim an opportunity to think about how and why Israeli society manifests these different views in the ways that it does.  (ie why bumper stickers?)

To explain and teach the chanachim the story of the Chalutzim and how they came to build the land of Israel.

Being that Sunday is the 10 B'Tevet, we would like the chanachim to be confronted with the question: why is remembering important?

Goal: To review the story of Yaacov and his dream and some trivia about

Israel, and of course to have fun!!
