Settling The Land

Goal:

To define the religious chalutz by:

1.   placing him into the context of  the groups present in pre-State Israel and

2.   presenting the balance of being religious and building the Land, which the religious chalutzim maintained.

To teach the chanachim that in 1967, Jerusalem was reunited. It had been separated in 1948 during the War of Independence.

Goal:

To illustrate an accomplishment of the chalutzim, with a tie-in to the Bnei Akiva members who played a part in settling Birya.

Goal:

To understand the task undertaken by the chalutzim by defining the achievements required to reclaim and rebuild the Land of Israel.

To familiarise chanichim with the Torah resposibility for caring for the land

To familiarise tha chanichim with the activities of the JNF, The Jewish Agency and the State of Israel with nature conservation

To teach the chanichim as much as possible about the people who influenced the state of

Israel.

Goal:

To discuss the applicability of Torah Va'Avoda today and in spheres other than agriculture.  How is it practiced and why is it important?

that the Chanichim will understand how deep is the connection between Am-Yisrael and Erets-Yisrael and how trees are helping to that connection and making it stronger. The city that we are going to talk about called Rosh- Pinna one of the best examples for people who got connected to their land through trees.

The goal of this peulah is to break down some of the stereotypes our chanichim hold concerning Israelis.

Emphasizing 2 of the more prosperous eras of the city, the 16th century and the capture of the city in

Israel’s war of independence.
