The Essence of Man

Goals

1. To learn this story of Avraham2. To think about how much more our actions say, than our words3. Micro - macro. Bettering oneself will ultimately lead to bettering the world.

Just as G-d is creative so to we should be creative. How can we add to this world? What can we as teenagers accomplish?

Objective:

(1)    The chanichim will discuss the different ways in which one can fulfill the role of being an Or Lagoyim.

(2)    The chanichim will realize that they can affect change in the world, and will think of an Or Lagoyim project that they can implement in Camp this summer.

מטרה: שהחניך יבין שחרות זה לא "לעשות מה שבא לי", אלא שמשמעות להיות בן חורין היא לפעול על פי צו נפשו הפנימי של כל אדם.

מטרות השיעור

1.      ההבנה שציפייה לישועה פירושה עשייה אקטיבית

2.      התבוננות בהיסטוריה חשובה כדי להבין את"התוכניות" של הקב"ה

מטרות הפעולה:

התלמיד ידע שהתורה שבכתב והתורה שבע"פ ניתנו יחד באי"י והן מכילות את כל תחומי החיים כולל הנהגות חברתיות ומוסריות ובתוך התורה קיימת מסכת אבות המכילה אף היא הנהגות חברתיות ומוסריות.

התלמיד יבין שראוי לכבד כל אדם בעצם היותו אדם.

התלמיד יבין כי אדם המכבד את שאר הבריות, אין זה מפחית מכבודו, אלא להיפך- אדם המכבד את הבריות, הוא המכובד.

מטרת הפעילות:  לעורר בחניכים את השאלה מהי עבורם זהות יהודית, וכיצד הצד היהודי בא לידי ביטוי בחיי היום יום שלהם. החניך ירגיש שהוא רוצה לדעת יותר וללמוד יותר על זהותו היהודית.
