The Tanach

Ask your chanichim what is a miracle.  Do you believe in miracles?  Has a miracle ever happened to you?  If so, let them share their experience.

Aims:

     ·   To learn why the Torah stresses the word generations

·      To show them the importance of passing the Torah down and learning

 To make sure that we are not the generation that breaks the chain

1. To learn about the events surrounding the

cave of

Machpela.

2. To think about what it means to have a right to

Israel - What does or should ownership entail?

3. To understand the responsibility that goes hand in hand with possession.

To teach the chanachim about the importance of Judaism and Eretz Yisrael and how this structures our lives.

Goal: The chanichim should appreciate how both Yehuda Maccabee and Mizrachi (Religious Zionists) faced opposition on both fronts to their actions, but they believed what they were doing was emet and stuck to their beliefs and were not swayed by other people’s opinions.

Goal:  To examine the concept of z’chira as it derives from TaNaCH and how collective memory shapes us as a nation
