Goal: Based on everything we have seen so far on the trip, the assimilation, but success of Jews in America, the chanichim should discuss the question; is it ok to call America our home or not? Either way, they should understand that they can never fully feel totally at home in

America while remaining loyal to

Israel, and what ramifications this has on where we as Jews should be living.

To further emphasize the reasons and importance of Aliya, teach a little about Bnei Akiva as a worldwide movement

Inform chanachim about mifkad to give them more understanding of this ritual.

That the chanichim will understand the importance of mifkad, and will show respect for it.  In particular, that the chanichim understand that we should especially be respectful during Hatikva, the himnon of Medinat Yisrael.

get to know the chanichim & madrichim

Goal: To teach the chanichim about Rav Kook and why he is so great to be the Rebbe of Bnei Akiva

To teach the chanichim a bit about one of the fathers of our movement – Rabbi Akiva.

To help the children have an understanding of Rabbi Akiva.

Aims of the meeting:

 To show the importance of having respect for one’s fellow manTo try and relate the theme to Bnei AkivaTo make the Chanachim aware that Madrachim are human beings with feeling, and they should become more sensitive to other people.
