ישנו בלבול גדול בהבנת הצד הרעיוני והמעשי של הסיסמא "תורה ועבודה", עד כדי כך שיש מי שרואה בסיסמא הזאת הכוונה למשהו לא מציאותי ואולי אף לקוי, וכל זאת מפני שלא בירר לעצמו את המשמעות והמקורות שלה.

מטרת הפעולה:

1. להראות שהאידיאל שבסיסמא "תורה ועבודה" הוא ליצור חברת תורה ועבודה.

2. להראות שחיי תורה שלמים הם חיי תורה שמיושמים גם בחיים של עבודה ומעשה.
